Geriatric/Senior Care.
One of the most profound experiences I had as a student occurred during my time volunteering at a long-term care facility, where I provided massage therapy to seniors.
As I worked with one patient, something unexpected happened. They began to sob quietly on the table.
Through their tears, they whispered, "No one has touched me since my partner passed away."
That moment struck me deeply. It was a reminder of the profound power of human touch.
Each person who comes to the table carries a unique history, one that’s written in their body, their emotions, and their mind.
Some of that story is expressed physically, some emotionally, and some mentally.
For me, every body is like a puzzle, a mystery waiting to be unraveled, peeling back years of history to promote healing and health.
